Being a first-year teacher means that I have not yet acquired many things needed to complete my classroom. Right now, my classroom seems a bit sterile, more like a college classroom. That's why my project consists mainly of furniture and items to make it seem more inviting to a 1st grader. One of my biggest priorities will be to create a cozy classroom library in which the students will feel comfortable reading. I think the more comfortable a space is, the more it will encourage use. My goal is to give my students a happy, safe place that they feel comfortable in. I want my students to look forward to coming to school and be proud of their classroom.
