Please help me get some sensory items for my classroom. My classroom is made up of 12 general education students and 8 students who are on an individualized education plan. My students range from 3-5 years of age. Some of my students have disabilities and having sensory items in the classroom will help engage these students. Sensory items can help students learn to explore and investigate. It also encourages students motor skills. I have some sensory items in the classroom but these items would help engage more students during the day. Students will be able to use these items during “free choice” to explore and investigate on their own. The light table will give the students a chance to explore X-rays when we turn our dramatic play center into a doctors office or vet clinic. This will help my students explore the early stages of science. By exploring this will give opportunity to take documents and videos for GOLD documentation.
