I want to incorporate technology into my classroom to give my students a different type of learning method and help engage them during small groups.
I want my students to be able to use these tablets to help engage their learning and be able to see technology as a great tool for education.
These tablets will give me the freedom to provide different apps to help students with their reading, math, and research skills. It will also help me, as their teacher, to use the tablets as a different tool to assess my students and where they are in learning. Based off of my assessments, I can then use the tablets as a tool to help accommodate and differentiate my students by assigning different lessons that will be aligned to the standards they need on the classroom website.
Lastly, technology is a great tool to help students learn the importance of collaboration. We would be able to participate in more group research projects and choose the different ways to present our findings through slides and videos. This will help my students take pride and ownership of their work.
In summary, a few tablets would be very beneficial and helpful for my class!
