The carpet will help the students visualize the emotions as we talk about them and role play. The furniture will help the students use their coping skills we are working on in a comfortable, home like safe, calm spot in our classroom. The coping skills they learn will help them be able to spend more time with their peers. The students in this class have social emotional and adaptive behavior goals and get limited time outside of our self contained room due to their difficulties in these areas. I want to help learn strategies to be more successful in other environments.

About my class
