We are a brand new elementary school, starting our very first music classroom! Our students are over 50% from low-income houses, and we believe that this shouldn't stop them from receiving a well-rounded, quality music education. Although we've been fortunate to receive in-kind donations from other schools and teachers, it isn't enough on its own. We want our students to have the chance to sing, play, and dance to music that reflects their culture (over 50% Hispanic/Latino), as well as global cultures. With your help, our students will have access to all kinds of music resources, including xylophones, percussion instruments, and so much more! We hope to not only provide as many opportunities to make different kinds of music as possible, but we want to start a choir next year, and we have even bigger ambitions of staged shows, community performances, and much more. Our students deserve the best, no matter their background - help us to provide it for them!
