More Instruments = more learning! Instrumental playing is absolutely essential to a young musicians' development. From the youngest age, playing mallet instruments aids in both fine and gross motor skills and hand eye coordination. As students grow, they become more adept at playing accompaniments that are independent of their peers' melody playing.
Students who play instruments in class become well-rounded, independent musicians.
With so few instruments to spread across the classroom, playing instruments has been more of a challenge than a joy. Adding one new Xylophone to our classroom will make playing much more accessible and engaging for all students.
