Allowing students to receive sensory and tactile input allows them to focus on the task at hand. My students will be allowed to use fidgets to keep their hands busy while keeping their minds on learning.
Being able to stand on squishy mats, sit on tactile circle, bounce their feet and sit on moveable stools will provide my students with the ability to focus on thier reading, writing and math to make academic gains to reach their full potential.
Allowing students to choose which sensory tools they need, allows for them to self regulate what they need to be successful that day.
