With flexible seating, students are able to learn and comprehend material and curriculum better. Who wouldn't want to listen to a story in a rocker game chair or wiggle stool rather than a boring old desk? Children with special needs already have difficulty learning in the classroom environment. With ways to get out energy, by rocking, fidgeting, wiggling, etc., they pay attention and comprehend the lesson being taught better.
There are so many studies that correlate flexible seating and higher assessment and classroom scores. I just want to allow my students the opportunity to learn in a way that they can learn best!
