Time for Kids magazine is an age-appropriate, high-interest magazine with articles about world news, sports, animals, and more. This project will provide each 4th-grade student at our school with their own copy of Time for Kids magazine, 24 times throughout the school year, to use for lessons and activities before bringing home to share with their families.
By using high-interest reading material for lessons and activities, students will be more engaged while practicing skills such as main idea and supporting details, making inferences, fact and opinion, text features, and sequencing of events.
By reading a variety of articles, students will also be broadening their knowledge on various topics as well as expanding their vocabulary.
