My project is focusing on small group and social emotional learning. The games would be multi-purposeful; they would build social emotional skills through turn taking, problem solving and sportsmanship but they would also be modified to help literacy skills. Jenga would have taped sight words on them that students would read as they pulled the piece. Guess Who would build descriptive language. Sorry would have picture cards where students had to say the 1st sound ect. The letter/number stamps would build foundational knowledge through hands on activities. As a school with English language learners, the vocabulary packets would help enrich their vocabulary through an engaging program. The yoga cards and flexible seating would provide opportunities for students to self-regulate and reinforce their awareness of their surroundings.
