This year our district has purchased a new ELA curriculum for our students. A large portion of our ELA block happens during our carpet time. Students start off having their circle time for building community within our classroom; then we go into our ELA block. This Heavy-Duty Magnetic Write & Wipe Big Book Center will allow for storage and protection of our big books as well as giving ALL students access to the text with the display center. This is very important for young readers to help maintain their attention. In addition, the white board portion of the center can be used during our rotation time for students to practice spelling and writing words. Students love our station time where they are able to practice and apply what they have learned during our ELA block. This display could also be used during our math time for students to practice their math skills.
