In March of 2019, our 6th grade students completed our school's first successful intertidal study to measure the impact of human activity on various intertidal species. The study is a culminating project to explore how humans are affecting the Earth on a micro and macro level. For the majority of our students, a trip to the ocean is the first in their lives despite living less than 20 minutes away. We aim to repeat the study annually and the requested supplies will better ensure our students are able to have not only a highly educational experience, but a safe experience as well.
