For the past 24 years, I have taught in a general education classroom. I am now excited to learn that I will be moving to my district's Dual Language classroom. I can't wait to see the amazing things my new students will do in the classroom. With this change, I have realized that my library desperately needs some updating. All of the books in my library are English. The students I will be teaching are bilingual and will need access to books in both languages. Many of my students have parents who only speak and read in Spanish so having books they can read together is very important.
