Last year, I implemented a reading system based on a PD book titled 180 Days, where my students read for 180 schools days at least ten minutes a day. From my readers to non-readers, tremendous growth was gained and students fluency and comprehension improved by leaps and bounds.
More importantly, students desired reading time and their love for reading fostered.
This year, I want to focus on providing my students with books that represent and celebrate their diversity.
