Leaps and bounds begin In kindergarten: beginner readers, writers, and mathematicians. Kindergarten’s the year students find confidence and take risks.
Help me facilitate a relaxed classroom environment that will encourage the students' growth by donating the flex seats.
My school will have large numbers this year and is predicting that each kindergarten class will have 25-28 students; therefore, flex seating is the best option for my small room and my students (we will be able to move around the classroom easily instead of weaving around a sea of desks and chairs).
Each day, students will have the opportunity to choose their flex seat option (rocket, bean bag, oversized pillow, etc). The book bins will allow each student to keep his/her items in one location, so it will be easier to store and handle based on the child's seating choice for that day. For instance, during the Writers workshop, the student will be in his/her flex seat option with the book bin containing a clipboard and pencil box. Having flex seats will encourage students to feel comfortable and relaxed while sparking creativity.
Thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read this entry, and if by any chance you decide to donate to my kindergartener, thank you!
