These books will be utilized as:
*read aloud selections- to drive discussions geared toward learning more about each of my students
*independent reading materials- to build fluency during Daily 5 (Read to Self/Read to Others)
*topics to drive writing assignments- personal narratives allowing students to make connections between self and literature
*connections to our current curriculum- building on similar topics and/or expand on ideas/experiences
*stepping stones for varied projects-that will build students self awareness as well as build the community within our classroom/school
*peer collaboration- my students will share these books with younger/older students during Peer Collaboration Time as we implement cross grade interactions
