Thank you for choosing to help out my students! I am a special education teacher in an inner city school district with Title 1 funding. All of my students are provided free breakfast and lunch along with snacks that are priced by myself. My students are all special needs students who have a classification of autism. They are all amazing students who work extremely hard all day, to keep them focused and wanting to learn I incorporate sensory breaks throughout the day. Their sensory breaks are individualized based on their needs, some may like to play with sand, or water, others may like to lay down with a weighted blanket. By creating this page it allowed me to be able to help my students be in a calm space where they feel safe and are able to be themselves.
