My fourth grade students will be taught many different standards this year varying from grammar to an Arizona state study. Having taught kindergarten for 10 or more years, I have no supplemental library at a fourth grade level. Reading makes a world of difference in their written expressions and the use of grammar. With all the technology today, I want to continue to ensure that my students can turn book pages and not slide like the devices, understand material out of a book, and experience casual reading to create good readers. Arizona also has a huge test that students take and they must be able to read and write coherently.
