My students love to learn. They get so excited to be able to use materials that are hands on and allow them to make progress on their speech and language goals. Creating visual materials enables my students the ability to access the same materials as their non-disabled peers.
Using a color a printer to create individualized materials will ensure my students can comprehend what is going on not only in my room but also in their classroom. In my therapy room, we use visuals to make schedules, adapted books, and hands on practice activities that engage students and increase their participation.
