Our classroom goal, growing together, begins everyday by physically connecting with one another in our classroom. Having A Carpet Space to Welcome Everyone would allow my students so many opportunities to connect, beginning with morning meeting and continuing throughout the day with focus lessons, turn and talks and flexible seating choices.
With this comfortable and easy to manage carpet space my students will be able to focus in on the most important details of my lessons. It will provide them with a secure place to explore topics and ideas in 4th grade curriculum and beyond.
My students will also be able to use this space during flexible seating times as their base seating area. It will provide students with choice about where they learn best in our classroom. Not only will this provide them choice but also with opportunities to be accountable about their choices.
