I am offering the first ever sewing class taught at our school! We are so excited to get started, but we need your help. We need basic sewing supplies to bring our projects to reality. One sewing machine has already been donated. I have saved up enough money in my budget to purchase 5 additional sewing machines. Fabric has been graciously donated by family, friends, and community members. What we need now is basic supplies and notions. This project will fund: thread, pins, needles, fabric shears, measuring tapes, seam rippers, seam gauges, as well as an iron & ironing board. Beginning sewing projects we can complete include: pillow cases, zipper pouches, hand warmers, pajama pants. Students will be encouraged to bring damaged clothing items from home to repair during class.
