This is my first year teaching and I have met my kiddos and realized they absolutely LOVE to sit on the ground, lay on pillows, bounce and kneel while they do their work. All students learn differently and every child has a unique preference for how and where they learn best. Flexible seating allows students to be the judge of where they will learn best, so I want to provide students with as many opportunities as I can to have a choice in where they sit! Some students need to be moving or bouncing to focus, or they need a different textured seat to meet their sensory needs. If this project is funded, my class will have more options for where they sit so they can feel comfortable and really enjoy being in our classroom!
