Reading is a way for young teens to stimulate their brains, gain knowledge, enhance analytical thinking skills and expand their vocabulary. It’s also an escape for them to relieve their stress in a healthy way. The skills gained from reading can transfer into various areas of life. Our students are grades 7-12 but function at a reading level of grades 2-7. Having an engaging set of books in the classroom will draw them into reading and actually enjoying it. It’s an opportunity for them to gain reading and academic skills with enjoyment.
