Children have a curiosity and excitement for learning. They are always asking how and why things work. These hands-on materials provide a whole new way to comprehend life science concepts. It's vital to provide a classroom environment that encourages active participation in observation, investigation, comparing, problem solving, and doing. It's about exploring farther and drawing their own conclusions.
Our lifecycle units will take place over 9 weeks. We will begin reading and researching each insect/amphibian individually, then begin our exploration. We will take 3 weeks with each subject then exhibit our projects at our annual science fair.
By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student engagement and interest, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. The children love to learn and being able to facilitate these types of hands-on activities is priceless! Every student learns and takes away the clear understanding of the process. At this age they need to learn by doing, not just looking at pictures in a book. They benefit from seeing it, exploring it, and being a part of the learning.
