From birth, children use their senses to learn and discover the world around them. They love to touch things, smell, listen and taste. I would love to pull some of this fun sensory learning into my Kindergarten classroom. Sensory tables are so beneficial for students at this age. All the benefits include improving fine motor skills, cognitive skills, language skills, social-emotional skills, develop creativity, and so much more. My students will also be learning math concepts, such as sorting piles, and also English Language Arts by things such as writing words in the sand. The possibilities with sensory tables are endless.
