My students need a document camera to help with taking an abstract idea to a concrete, hands on experience. It is hard for my students to understand the concept of annotating a text and proving their answers and a document camera is a tool they need to help them be successful. Students learn better when a teacher models the correct way to complete a task and a document camera will aid in this. The document camera would also allow the students to grow as learners and teachers. Students can use their knowledge to teach other students with this tool in our classroom by sharing their strategies and learning with others.
