I have 21 kindergarteners in my class. With the pandemic happening, my students are not able to social distance on our current carpet. Carpet time is a huge part of a kindergarten day. I feel like my students are missing out on a very important part of kindergarten just because of our carpet.
We do our morning carpet activities, our read alouds, and our phonics lesson on the carpet. Right now, all of my students are not able to sit on the carpet comfortably due to social distancing guidelines.
I would like a rug that has squares so each of my students have a square and they have plenty of space without touching the student next to them.
