Developing reading skills in 2nd grade students is crucial for academic success. Having easy access to books allows the students to have books at their fingertips, giving them many opportunities to practice and develop their reading skills. I would like a book pouch for each of my second graders to have on their chair, at their desk. Having the books at their seat, but not inside their desks, will help them be organized, responsible, and help to keep the books taken care of. This project will allow me to provide them that opportunity. By donating to this project, you are helping to provide a crucial organizational tool for my beginning readers.

About my class
