When I ask my students what instrument they would love to learn how to play, the response that I usually get is, "Guitar!" Ukuleles are the perfect starter string instrument. They are easy to hold and easy to play. Because of this, students see quick successes while learning ukulele. This can inspire them to push themselves to continue learning how to play other instruments later on in band, etc. Learning to play a ukulele is also a great foundation for learning other string instruments that may spark interest.
By donating to this project, you get to partner with me by providing a deeper passion for music and an increase in confidence in my students' lives.
Through the ukulele, students are given the chance to learn about all things music. They get the chance to learn about melody, harmony, building chords, and rhythm patterns. It also gives students the chance to learn about musical cultures from around the world. Our ukuleles will also be used in performances and school events to benefit our community.
My students already have a tremendous love for music, especially when it comes to playing instruments. My hope is that this project will enrich their lives and make a huge impact on their musical journey. Thank you for choosing to be a part of this with me!
