I am a first year teacher. These books would help me add new read material to my classroom. I would like to use these books to show my students how to understand what makes them who they are as a person and how to overcome obstacles they may face. I want my students to understand that we are all different because if we were all the same what a boring world we would live in. These book will be used to expand my students' knowledge on character development, figurative language, and themes. I will be using these books as read alouds and in literature groups (based on reading level).
