My students will benefit from making educational and social choices on how their day will proceed. I did it last year and it allowed personalities to shine because they made choices as to where they sit for the day. This empowers them and if they don't get their first choice, they understand how to make a new one.
If they pick a seat today and find themselves redirected the next day or opportunity, they switch it up! Some students worked better standing. Some kids did better at stools they could move. Other kids worked well with cushions on seats or bands for their feet to fidget with, and some worked well on the carpet with bean bags.
