BrainPOP Jr. is a great way to introduce topics and to fill in missing background knowledge. This resource's short videos can introduce new topics, reinforce past lessons, and spark interest for research. BrainPOP Jr. also gives students daily practice in taking quizzes in a whole group, non-stressful environment. The daily quizzes help students succeed in standardized testing because each question is discussed along with strategies students might choose to use. I will use BrainPOP Jr. in my new classroom as a 15 minute daily routine. Topics will be carefully chosen to enhance each day's lesson. I used BrainPOP Jr. as a teaching tool at my former school and saw results across all content areas.
