Next year, my fifth graders love theater, singing, and projects, but they have a hard time sitting still. I worked with them a little bit today at our "Step Up to Fifth Grade" day and it was clear to me that in order to work on writing and rehearsing plays and designing and building compost bins, we need amazing seating that is available to everyone.
One project we will do on these serene and wiggly chairs is our Lives of Scientists project where we meet with 15-25 local scientists throughout the school year and study the research work they do!
