My students need to experience real life science with the actual supplies that real scientists use. We currently only have aprons and goggles. Both of which are not standard in the biomedical field. Most careers and colleges use lab coats and safety glasses.
My students want to be as prepared as possible for science in real life and can do that with the supplies that real people use. Without these they won't be able to really know what it is like to have a job in the biomedical field. They will only ever know high school science if they continue to use aprons and goggles.
