I am excited to introduce these objects in our classroom not only to increase student learning, but to also emphasize my teaching philosophy which is to make learning fun.
Through these three objects I can continue transforming my classroom into a place where students WANT to come and learn whilst feeling engaged and comfortable. I would use my printer to print out letters to go home to increase parent/teacher communication, print out and make copies of classroom work/projects/crafts and will also be able to print out classroom decoration, signs, posters, etc. I can use the bean bag as a flexible seating and will eventually incorporate more of these into my classroom library. They can also be used for early finishers or even as a reward system. Students would love these and will feel comfy while reading a book or simply relaxing!
Finally, the sensory table. I have been researching different strategies for play in the classroom and know that it is important to incorporate play in the every day classroom . This is a great way to introduce the sense of touch and to also engage in several activities. For example, I can have kinetic sand in one basket while the other one has Orbeez. This can be used as a sensory activity and even used to play hide and seek with certain objects, targeting critical thinking while having fun!
Thank you :)
