As an Arts Integration school, we use principles of art and visual learning strategies to better facilitate our lessons, even in science! These materials will provide year-long access to arts-based lessons and projects, including making a life-sized human body with color-coordinated organ systems and a working roller coaster demonstrating energy transformation and Newton's Laws!
Being able to provide materials for arts integration (and the storage containers to keep them), means students will always be able to relate their science knowledge to their personal experiences.
As they embark on the wild ride of early teenage years, my students will build self-value through self-expression as they learn foundational science concepts such as the structure of the human body and organ systems, environmental issues related to plastic consumption, chemical reactions and equations, the laws of physics, and how electromagnetic and mechanical waves impact our everyday life.
