My school is a a Title 1 school so our early childhood classes have recently 1-1 iPads- where each student has their individual iPad to learn and excel on. These iPads have helped my students be engaged in their learning and excited to learn!
MyLexia helps my lower students review/learn their letter sounds and phonics skills to become better readers. Reading A to Z has leveled books for my students (that can also read to them) to help them read on their reading level and become fantastic readers!
We also use DreamBox for math. This is an an interactive activity that works at their level and helps them improve where they are AT! They love it as it engages them with points and arcade games.
As you can imagine all this going on at once; our classroom becomes very loud as all these applications talk to the students. We would love to have a class set of headphones so my students can continue to use their iPads but in quiet! This would help them can concentrate where they are at on their level and become the best they can be; without getting distracted by the noise! My students are also learning to become independent learners so a class set of headphones would help greatly with this skill!
