These books will give beginning readers the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of books to find their interests. Coming into kindergarten there is so much joy and love for books and being able to become a life long learner through reading. Every book in our classroom library is treated with respect, one of our golden library rules. Each book is chosen with the students in mind. These books will help the class and each student individually as they are working to become readers during our independent reading time.
All these books will give my students the chance to express themselves through their interests and allow them to read independently or with a pal. One of the best ways for a students to improve their reading abilities is to find things that they enjoy and help foster that love with many different texts. With these books this will help each one find a topic they find interesting and share that interest with the class through reading and sharing.
