Imagine a black and white science lesson on the life cycle, or a room with bare walls. Are you done? Blah, right?
In order to teach real-world problems inside a room, it's a great idea to bring the real world to the room. Students will be actively engaged and show more interest if they are able to see and touch what you are explaining. In a perfect world, we could have virtual or even actual field trips daily to portray the overarching themes that we teach daily. Since these options are minimal for low-income areas, let's commit ourselves to bringing these experiences to them! Help me give my students a color printer and a portable laminator so our lessons can come to life! With these supplies, we will be The Magic Classroom, where our lessons come to life!
