The writing center will allow my students space to write on. The center will allow me to provide different writing materials (paper, markers, crayons, stencils, letter mats, name cards, vocabulary cards) to write, draw, journal and handwriting booklet, and develop fine motor skills. The space in my class will allow me to display their writing samples, drawings, and stories for visitors as they enter the room. The writing center will be used for stations and learning centers. Writing is a vital skills for pre-k students. The writing center will give me the opportunity to change out themes such as Valentines, Christmas, Post Office and motivate them to write.
