As a first year teacher, these are materials that I see my students using every day in the near future! These supplies will make sure that all students are supplied with the necessities to be successful in school!
The necessities such as markers, colored pencils, scissors and such will ensure that all students are getting the resources that are needed to meet their needs! They will also be extremely beneficial for all the back to school activities and projects that we will be doing throughout the year.
Also, flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them, such as at different tables, sitting under tables with clip boards, sitting or laying on the floor with a clip board, using yoga balls at their desks or using a bean bag chair. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.
