Every day we start our reading lesson with an interactive read aloud. I like to have all the students together while I read the book. Sitting close allows them access to the pictures and words on the book. During an interactive read aloud, the students are actively engaged and answering higher order thinking.
Right now my students have to sit on the cold tile because I do not have a rug. I will never have enough school funds to provide a rug for my classroom. Help me give my students a proper reading area. A donation would be a blessing!
