The Cricut Machine will allow me to give my students a classroom that is welcoming and magical! With the use of the Cricut Machine, I will create classroom decor for my classroom that inspires students. This year, the theme of the classroom will be a Harry Potter theme. Using the Cricut will allow me to create posters, wall decals, and other signs around the room that will make the students feel that they are in the Wizarding World (for example, motivational quotes from Harry Potter characters, character cut-outs from Harry Potter, etc.). This magical environment will give students excitement and joy that will transfer to their learning. The flexible seating will allow students to sit in a location throughout the room where they learn best. When students are working independently, they can choose a spot in the classroom that supports their learning the best. In previous years, students have chosen to work at different tables, on the floor with a clipboard, under tables with a clipboard, on the carpet, pillows, etc. When students are comfortable, they are more motivated to learn and engaged in the work they are involved in throughout the day. The wobble chairs that I have selected will be another flexible seating option that my students can use. They will give students flexibility to move and wobble as they are working. These are especially beneficial for students who are seeking movement throughout the day and keep them more focused on their assignments.
