The texts will engage students and help them understand that the United States is a melting pot; a nation formed of immigrants that has been shaped by cultures, languages, foods, and traditions from all over our Earth! All of these books come from the recommended list from the National Council for Social Studies Notable Trade Books in the Classroom. These texts will be a perfect fit in helping me properly deliver the Iowa Core Standards to my eager students! Thank you!
