Board books allow my students to handle books independently without tearing the pages. We read and use books to foster language development in the classroom. It is helpful to the students to be able to look at the books independently after we have read them as a class.
These students all require help with fine motor coordination. The materials chosen will help to foster this development with items the students will enjoy. The students enjoy manipulating items that allow them to fill thing up, color, put things together and build simple items. The materials chosen will enhance the items we have in the classroom that they enjoy.
