Students will use these ball seats each and every day for reading seatwork. Please keep in mind that in my classroom students move about the room many times throughout the day. As my students are only 5-6 years old, we switch activities every 15-20 minutes. We transition to carpet time, group work, and seat work, giving students many opportunities to stretch their bodies and work in different positions.
Students will be given the option of using a stability ball instead of a traditional chair and will need to make responsible choices with their ball. Students need to recognize that these are meant to be a tool just like a chair.
