I am seeking half a class set (12) of Diamond Head soprano ukuleles for my awesome second grade students.
Learning through music will enhance their engagement and help them understand curriculum in a meaningful way. Learning to read and play music reaches all students and engages them kinesthetically.
Music in the classroom can increase engagement, communication, social interaction, self esteem, and build classroom community.
With the requested ukuleles, my students will increase their understanding of the arts, as well an appreciation for different cultures. This learning will extend to other academic areas, such as math, science, and literacy.
