In my district, many parents can't meet all the needs of their children. Students need teachers who are willing to meet their immediate needs first, and then educate them. Kids need love and support, so that they can focus on learning, not on what they don't have for class or that they are hungry. This project will do that!
I know that asking for a small refrigerator seems extravagant, but I have started many conversations over a small bottle of water or can of pop. Kids open up when shown kindness through a pencil or when offered a snack and drink.
