Libraries shouldn't simply be a warehouse for books and as the new librarian I believe the library should be host for a variety of activities, such as reading books that students want and desire while also offering them opportunities to write, play, and converse with their peers about the topics that matter to them. Having newer books will be relevant to them and foster a positive relationship with literacy. Also, having access to educational games will foster that positive association while also developing their critical thinking skills. The library can become home to critical thinking and and with these donations, I believe I can create that space.

About my class
