Through participation in basketball, we hope to engage youth in pro-social relationships and activities that seek to minimize behavioral and academical challenges in school.
Improve students’ social and emotional health. Organized sports can teach students how to manage and resolve conflicts on and of the court. Sports also teach student other characteristics such as honesty, fairness, leadership, respect, and sportsmanship. All of these attributes can be applied to the daily lives of students.
Increase parent participation by providing opportunities for parents to support and encourage their child in a positive manner.
